Will definetly be used more often from now on, but of course can't replace an actual filter!

I really like the red effect, might try it myself.

Also i had a question. Did any of you guys go to school for photography? I'm currently taking my classes to transfer to a university and was wondering if you actually needed a degree in order to become a sports photographer or did you just need to have the right connections to get into games and such?

My friends recently Started Shooting in RAW.....with their Canon 400D(same camera as me)

but when they put their RAW image on the PC..it wont open on anything...so i told them to send it to me....and it wouldnt open for me either...and i always shoot in RAW..
then i noticed their RAW file didnt look the same as mines..but we shoot with the same camera..

anyone know what the issue is?

^^^
Looks like the camera or something is writing the file without the "I" in "IMG" which causes it become a corrupt file.

That's my opinion on what's going on, lol.

Bryant... I just checked my Canon XTi (400D) RAW file and it shows up like your friends ("_MG_5562.CR2")... That being said, I can open the file in DPP, Adobe Bridge, and CS2 without any problems... Would you mind sending me one of his RAW files to see if I can open it up? Send it to "airbphoto@yahoo.com" and I'll check it out... Peace...

i had the same problem.
for some reason when i already put 2k then the file is changed and the shutter count resets.
but i never shot raw and never did, but never had problems with it.

^ make sure to set the camera shutter count to "continuous".

as for the RAW files.....the missing "I" has nothing to do with it. you can name the files whatever you want. it's the extension that you should look at. RAW files have extension of .CR2.

do you guys think the canon xs will get any lower than it has...amazon has it now for 464....whats been holding me back is prices on it have been dropping week in and week out, however i noticed the canon xsi was 650 now O_o on amazon so while the xs got cheaper the xsi went up in price

reason why im thinking abut getting it now is its below manufacturer price or w/e they can't show prices lol
