clean heiny's up above me. illustrator (or fireworks/flash) really is better for true vectors.
Photoshop creates bitmapped graphics, Illustrator builds vectors. Bitmaps consist of tiny dots of color. They're much larger in file size than vector graphics - therefore, vector images take up much less storage space and can be downloaded faster. You can scale a vector graphic to any size without losing quality, while a bitmap will change quality if you enlarge it or reduce it. Make a line in photoshop and zoom in, it'll be pixelated. In illustrator, it won't.

im still learnin the ropes on illustrator...but im gettin better.
here is a design i was thinking about using for my clothing line...decided to scrap it.
p.s. in case you were wondering why the logos are off...its because i didnt want to get sued lmao.
**edit** the quality of the colors were thrown off due to the save format.
