Let's talk about hockey in this thread.
Hopefully the Sharks can make it through the playoffs this time around. They looked good playing against the Ducks today.

Leafs are in another season of hurt.
Yet, somehow, this people still come to games in jerseys, costumes and faces painted blue and white.

Watch Zherdev score 40-50 goals this year and the coaching, management and fans in Columbus pull their hair out. He was the FLAKIEST player there, showed up like every third night and still produced a couple 30-goal campaigns.
Flyers played pretty poorly in front of Biron but woke up with Niittymaki in the game, too bad they could put one of their many opportunities home.
Heartbreaker for Pittsburgh, looked like they had a 1-0 shutout but they collapsed at the end of regulation and OT. Great play by Parise to run down a long, soft chip-in and put home the winner in stride.
I'm picking the Devils to win the Cup this year. I picked Detroit last year (not like that was all that difficult) and usually I hit the international competitions dead on. The Devs are REALLY tough and they still have the best player in the league, Martin Brodeur.

Wow I can't believe I'm reading that, Cherepanov was a player I was really looking forward to seeing play in the NHL. RIP. =(

The rangers played for cherepanov last night, 5-0 to start the season as they beat the devils 4-1. It looks like it's going to be a breakout year for brandon dubinsky as well.

Dubinsky has played unreal so far... Hes a real d-bag but he does back it up on the ice. Rangers have looked unreal so far though...
Looks like the Atlantic division will be the toughest this year.
The season is going to be tough for the Penguins until they get Gonchar and Whitney back. Gonchar is so key to the Penguins. They are going to need to keep getting great play from Fleury.
Sharks have started off good with only allowing 4 goals so far in 4 games and getting scoring from everyone. Hope they have a good year.
