I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this, but there's a Jordan real/fake comparison thread in the Legit Check section that desperately needs some updates! Here's the link to show the current state that it's in...

As a community, we thought that this resource guide would be great for everyone if it was updated regularly with more pictures of more shoes/colorways. We wanted to see if you guys in this ISS Jordan community have any pictures saved of real/fake comparisons that we need. Or, if you currently have access to any fake shoes (if you don't have any, maybe you know someone who does), would you be willing to take some great comparison shots? If they are posted in HERE and if they are needed in the official thread, we will definitely add them to the official thread.
There are already quite a few shoes in the current thread that don't need any updates, but for the other models/colorways...We desperately need your help! Depending on how you guys contribute with pictures, I will probably edit this thread on this 1st page with a list of pictures that we decide to use so that you won't have to scroll through the whole thread and see what else we need.
Thanks to everyone who contributes, and I hope to see some new pictures posted in this thread from you Jordan gurus!

The guide needs help and it hasn't been updated in years. With your guys' help as well as SC, we can make this the most glamourous and most resourceful guide on the net. You guys have also done a great job with the Jordan comparison thread so if you guys can do one or both, we'll give you the props

Dale I would post everything and anything here first so we can decide what we are gonna use and not use. If you have any ideas on how you want to go about making that guide look cleaner, smaller pics, better details, a list of what to look out for, what's fake, etc....
Post here. We should have some sort of uniformity though. Redoing that guide I'm not opposed to either. We just all need to be on the same page.

I looked at most of the sections in which pics still worked. The Air Jordan IV section could use an update, because fakes are getting harder and harder to identify. Besides the netting (which is the only thing focused on in the original thread), I came up with this:
Notice the difference in the shade of yellow...
Fake Thunder IV's
Legit Thunder IV's
1. The netting panel - The netting panel on '06-'08 Retro IV models is much smaller. The netting is finer on newer models. This netting shown on the fake Thunder IV's is quite large and the little squares are bulky. The netting panel itself should be a little bigger and not as consolidated. Thunder IV's DO NOT come with a NIKE hang-tag, (nor do any '06-'08 retro's).
2. The cut of the nubuck panel right after the "wings" should not have such a sharp cut and decline towards the back. It is mis-shaped and is often a key aspect towards giving away fakes.
3. The toe-box on '06-'08 Retro IV's is longer, but even on '99-'00 retro's don't have such an abrupt stop to the toe-box. The cut of the toe-box is too short and is way too bulky.
4. The black sole that breaks through the yellow mid-sole is too round. It should have a sharper curve towards the top.
5. The overall cut of the sneaker is more of a mid cut. '06'-'08 Retro IV's are cut lower and have a longer tongue.

Air Jordan III update:
The Circled parts depict sloppy stitching!
Fake White/Cement III's
Legit White/Cement III's
1. Notice the "ruffled" tongue. When a ruffled tongue is spotted, this is due to sloppy stitching, often found on fake sneakers.
2. The "Jordan" logo on the sole should be red, not charcoal-grey.
3. No Air Jordan III has yet to come with a Jumpman key-chain. They do not come with them.
4. The cut of the elephant print on the toe-box panel is cut too sharp. The shade of grey is also too light. Also, the leather used throughout the sneaker is wrong.
5. Besides the sloppy stitching throughout most of the sneaker, the 5 en-stitched lace holes should be red, not grey.
6. The lace holes here should be white, not black.
