If you use a pen. what happens when you mess up? how do you erase your mistakes? |
Just be careful, try not to mess up. when i do mess up tho, i get a an acetone cotton ball and just wife it off, or f the paint is dark, just leave the line because it will get painted over _________________

I haven't done one but i asked the same question a while ago...basically, to swap the sole, you have to cut the stitching, and peel off the sole. Thats almost all there is to it.
Its not something you just go do tho, you have to figure out what works and what doesn't, or at least that's what I was told so that's all I can tell you
Good luck though | Thanks. |
You really have to learn from experience | Do I simply get a thread and needle and restitch the sole back together? I really want to try it out but I've been told it's really hard to get a thread and needle back into the shoes. |
ive asked this same question. if you have an awl, the thick needle should be able to penetrate. if you cant find one, idk waht to tell you but to try a thimble and pliers _________________

Hi guys ive 2 questions.
1) Is it recommended to use hand stitching in making denim dunks? or is machine always the best way to go?
2) Do people normally just stitch the denim on or do they do both - stitch and glue?
thanks |

frotfire90- I use a machine, hand stitching takes too long and usually comes out crooked...
As for your second question, most of the time its stitched then glued ..although, you do have your people that do complete reconstructions _________________

hey thanks i.MK much appreciated! oh i was just wondering too. how do people have such clean edges between the sole and the panel when they add denim? Do they actually remove the stitching which holds the sole of the shoe and the upper part together? If so how are they going to stitch it back since the stitching is extremely thick :X |

| Alright but you'll still have to separate the individual panels if you wish to make it appear such that the denim seamlessly blends into one panel to the next right? |

Ah and one last question is it necessary to remove the stitchings as well or do you just stitch over it again? thanks |
